Practice Schedule (8/28/23 – 3/8/24)

The first two weeks (Aug 28-Sep 8) will allow players to get warmed up and coaches will be performing  evaluations for 10U-16U.  We use evaluations to balance teams and group kids of similar skill to maximize player development. These are not tryouts so no registered player will be cut from our program. We ask that players attend 2 practices per week, try their best, have fun and don't get caught up in their performance. 

For 6u-8u, events will be 1-2 hours with multiple cross-ice games in each. They will mostly be at Orange County Sportsplex, Greensboro Ice House or Winston Salem Fairgrounds. 

For 10u-18u, we partner with the Polar Hurricanes House League (PHHL) for the season, so most games will be in Wake County with some home games at Sportsplex.

Tournament Teams (10U, 12U, 14U, and potentially 16U):

• The Hogs will organize 2 travel tournament opportunities (October 2023 and Feb 2024). Players selected based on skill as well as space availability.
• Participation costs in these tournaments is not included in the Fall registration fees. 

• Player's should be dressed and ready prior to the start of practice
• Refer to the Sportsplex board for locker room assignments. The Sportsplex asks that all players get their gear on in the locker room or rink. Do not gear up in the lobby.
• We request that players not wear their game jerseys for practice
