Joint Message From RFP and TYHNC

To the Orange County Community,
The Hillsborough Hogs (Triangle Youth Hockey NC) and Recreation Factory Partners (RFP) are extremely pleased to announce that we have found a resolution for the Fall 2024/25 youth house hockey season and are fully committed to stand together to advance youth hockey at the Orange County Sportsplex.
Offering a successful youth hockey program in Orange County has always remained the main focal point. With help of a Mediator and the Orange County Manager’s office, Triangle Youth Hockey NC and Recreation Factory Partners collaboratively formulated a successful solution and agreement for the upcoming season; the on-ice product remains the same, but there will be some administrative changes. Both the Hillsborough Hogs and Recreation Factory Partners agreed to these changes. For additional details regarding our mutual plan for the fall 2024/25 house league hockey season, please visit either the Sportsplex Youth Hockey page or the Hillsborough Hogs website, as information will be posted shortly. For questions, feel free to reach out to the Sportsplex Management or to the Hillsborough Hogs Board.
The Hillsborough Hogs are playing next season, and we want the community to know that both the Hillsborough Hogs and Recreation Factory Partners intend to work together to grow youth house hockey, develop players, maintain affordability, and respect the long legacy of those that came before us to build the Hillsborough Hogs program and all of youth hockey at the Orange County Sportsplex.
