If the Sportsplex is closed due to inclement weather:
All TYHNC practices are cancelled
All house team games at the Sportsplex are cancelled
Travel team games at the Sportsplex may (or may not) be played. A number of variables are considered in this situation. Your coach / manager will work with TYHNC to determine if the game will be played and notify all teams & families of the decision ASAP.
If the Sportsplex is open during inclement weather your coach / manager will work with TYHNC to confirm if an event (practice or game) should be held as scheduled. The coach / manager will notify all families of a cancellation ASAP.
For “away” games (not at the Sportsplex), a number of variables are considered in this situation. Your coach / manager will work with TYHNC to determine if the game will be played and notify all teams & families of the decision ASAP.
All members should use their discretion in determining whether to attend an event that is not cancelled. TYHNC pulls from a large geographic area that often has diverse weather conditions. If TYHNC determines to hold an event during inclement weather, it is not assumed or expected that all players will be able to attend. Two way communication with your coach / manager is critical. If / when you know you will not be able to attend an event that has not been cancelled (yet), please let your coach / manager know ASAP.
TYHNC will endeavor to make event cancellation decisions within two hours (or sooner) of the scheduled start time. TYHNC will also attempt to post notices of cancellations on our homepage.
